KSRRA Membership

We have membership categories.

Railroad Member

Any railroad carrier, which conducts rail service in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any organization, corporation, or holding company which is an owner of railroad property that utilizes a designated or contract operator to perform the common carrier functions for them, shall be eligible to be a “Railroad Member” of the KSRRA.

• Examples of Railroad Members include: Class I, Regional/Class II, Short Line/Class III, Non-Operating, and Scenic/Tourist.

Associate Member

Any organization or corporation, including without limitation any vendor or supplier, sole proprietorship, or individual that is interested in advancing the objectives of Pennsylvania rail freight and the KSRRA may apply to be an “Associate Member” of the KSRRA. The Executive Committee shall have the power to determine whether a particular organization, corporation, sole proprietorship, or individual meets the criteria of advancing the objectives of the KSRRA so as to qualify for Associate Membership.

• Examples of Associate Members include: Attorneys/Legal, Consulting, Engineering, Insurance, Port/Transload, Railcar/Stock Services, Railroad Products/Equip, Services, and Track/Construction.

Supporter

Any rail-related organization or individual that is interested in advancing the objectives of Pennsylvania rail and the KSRRA may apply to be a “Supporter” of the KSRRA. The Executive Committee shall have the power to determine whether an applicant qualifies as a Supporter.

• Examples of Supporters include: Hobby Railroads, Railroad Enthusiast, Railroad Museum, and Rail Publications.
